E. H. Yeiser (Edwin Hopson) was an 1899 graduate of The University of Texas. He served as counselor of the Supreme Court and was a practicing attorney, specializing in land law, in Austin for 40 years. Yeiser was married to the former Mary Louise Rowe of Austin and they had three daughters. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) was formed by Hally Bryan, Betty Ballinger, Mrs. Andrew Briscoe, and other Texas women in 1891 and was officially chartered by the State of Texas on March 9, 1895.
